The 2025/2026 Season marks one of the most memorable periods in Jay Idzes' career. The Indonesia National Team Captain not only demonstrated consistent form with Sassuolo in Serie A, but also recorded a significant surge in his Market Value among the elite ranks of Asian defenders.
As the 2025/2026 Serie A season concluded, Idzes' market value rose sharply. Previously valued at 10 million euro at the end of 2025, the 25-year-old defender now holds a market value of 14 million euro as of late May 2026.
This increase reflects his impressive performances throughout the season. Idzes featured in 35 matches for Sassuolo, only missing out on 3 fixtures.

His consistency in the backline established him as one of the club's most reliable players throughout the top tier Italian Football competition.
This market value surge also solidifies Idzes' status as the Indonesian Player with the highest current market value.
However, despite this rapid progress, Idzes is not yet the highest-valued Asian defender.
The top position on the highest valued Asian defenders ranking is held by Uzbekistani defender Abdulkodir Khusanov. The market value of this Manchester City defender reaches 35 million euro.
The 21 million euro gap with Idzes is considered reasonable, given Khusanov features regularly for one of the biggest clubs in the English Premier League.
Below Khusanov sits South Korea's first-choice defender Kim Min Jae. The Bayern Munich player holds a market value of 20 million euro.
Third place is occupied by Japan's Hiroki Ito. Kim Min Jae's teammate at Bayern Munich has a market value of 18 million euro, only 4 million euro above Idzes' current valuation.
Despite ranking fourth, Idzes' achievement remains a notable milestone. He outranks Japanese defender Ko Itakura, who occupies fifth place with a market value of 12 million euro. Itakura currently plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Jay Idzes' entry into the top four highest-valued Asian defenders proves his standing in European football is receiving growing recognition.
Should he maintain his consistent performance levels with both Sassuolo and the Indonesia National Team, there is every possibility his market value will continue to rise.
