As the 2025/26 BRI Super League season draws to a close, competition is not only focused on securing the championship title or qualification slots for Asian continental competitions. Behind the tight, season-long competitive pressure, public attention has now shifted to individual honours that serve as the benchmark for excellence and consistent performance within Indonesian Football.

Competition governing body I.League has officially published this season's award nominations across the categories: Best Player, Best Young Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Head Coach, and Goal of the Season.

I.League Chief Executive Officer Ferry Paulus confirmed that these nominations are formal recognition for the outstanding dedication and impact delivered by players and coaching staff throughout the campaign.

"These nominations are our appreciation for their hard work, technical quality, and on/off pitch contribution over the full season," Ferry stated in an official press release issued in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The 2025/26 campaign is widely regarded as one of the most competitive seasons in recent league history. The top of the table title race remained undecided until the final matchweek, while numerous individual players delivered consistent match-winning performances for their respective clubs.

According to Ferry, the rising standard of play is also visible through the emergence of homegrown young talents, who have proven they can compete on equal footing with senior domestic and foreign imported players in Indonesia's top flight league.

All shortlisted nominees were selected using multi-factor assessment criteria. This includes raw match statistics, overall team impact, performance consistency across the season, sportsmanship conduct, plus independent evaluations from the BRI Super League 2025/26 Technical Study Group (TSG).

Ferry clarified that this holistic assessment method was implemented to ensure the awards truly represent the highest standard of quality from Indonesia's domestic football competition.

"We have observed clear improvements in match quality, the rise of promising young players, and healthy competitive culture across all levels. These are very positive indicators for the long term development of Indonesian football and the BRI Super League," he added.

This season's awards are also viewed as a reflection of national football progress towards higher international competitive standards. Clubs have demonstrated increased commitment to squad building, structured youth academy development, and adoption of modern, entertaining playing philosophies.

Alongside the main individual honours, I.League will announce additional end of season awards including Top Goalscorer, Fair Play Team Award and the official Season Best XI once the final matchweek is completed.
