Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has asserted its dominance over French Football. A 2-0 victory over RC Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis early Thursday WIB confirmed Les Parisiens as Ligue 1 champions for the 2025/2026 Season.
Yet for PSG, the celebrations are far from over. After locking up the domestic title, the squad led by Luis Enrique can claim another trophy: the UEFA Champions League. They have the chance to end the season as double winners if they defeat Arsenal in the final on 30 May 2026.
PSG arrived at Lens' home ground with one clear mission: seal the title on their own terms, without waiting for other teams' results. From the very first minute, the visiting side took full control of match rhythm with aggressive ball possession and relentless high pressure on Lens' defensive line.

PSG eliminated Bayern Munich and will face Arsenal in the Champions League final.
The opening goal came in the 29th minute courtesy of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The attack originated from a costly Lens defensive error, as the home side failed to secure possession inside their own final third.
Ousmane Dembélé pounced quickly to win back the ball, then played a perfectly weighted through ball straight into Kvaratskhelia's path.
The Georgian winger ran unchallenged into the penalty box before beating Goalkeeper Robin Risser to put PSG 1-0 ahead.
Even after taking the lead, PSG maintained their dominant performance. Their solid midfield coordination and sharp wing movement kept Lens pinned under constant pressure.
Lens attempted to ramp up their attacking tempo to keep their slim hopes alive, but PSG's defence operated with perfect discipline and conceded almost no dangerous space.
PSG scored their closing goal deep in stoppage time, with Ibrahim Mbaye netting in the 90+3rd minute.
Mbaye initiated a blistering counter attack from his own defensive area, linking up for smooth combination play with Goncalo Ramos and Desire Doue.
Doue laid on the final assist which Mbaye finished cleanly for the goal.
This result brings PSG to 76 points at the top of the league table, Putting them mathematically out of reach of second-placed Lens even with one fixture still remaining in the season.
All eyes in Paris now turn to the Champions League final. Having confirmed their domestic supremacy, PSG hold a major opportunity to cap off this campaign with the ultimate European trophy.
