Enrique is not complacent over PSG's resounding victory in last season's Champions League final.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) head coach Luis Enrique has confirmed no team can fairly be labelled favourites ahead of PSG's clash against Arsenal in the Champions League Final at the Puskás Aréna this Saturday evening.

Even though PSG enter the fixture as defending champions having won the Champions League last season, Enrique stated that showpiece finals always present entirely unique challenges.

According to him, Les Parisiens' dominant heavy victory over Inter Milan in last season's final cannot be used as a benchmark for this match.

"For this final, I do not believe there are any favourites. We have to capitalise on every small detail and maintain full focus for the full 90 minutes," Enrique stated via the club's official channels.

The Spanish manager explained that the pressure and atmosphere of a final match always brings its own distinct challenges. For this reason, the ability to manage emotions and maintain concentration will be critical factors that determine the Match Result.

"There is always huge tension and anticipation around a game like this. Understanding how to handle these moments is extremely important," he said.

PSG enter this final with the clear ambition of retaining the Champions League title they claimed in the 2024/2025 season.

Enrique noted that his squad's motivation is actually heightened now they hold defending champion status, with an opportunity to write new Club History on the line.

"This motivation is even stronger than it was when we were fighting for our first title. We are the defending champions. Tomorrow, I am expecting a spectacular Champions League final. The team that plays the best Football will win, I am fully convinced of that," Enrique stated.

Ahead of the duel against Arsenal, Enrique confirmed that Team Preparations have proceeded exactly according to plan. The coaching staff have completed full in-depth analysis of the opposition's strengths and playing characteristics to ensure PSG can perform at their maximum for this decisive fixture.

Enrique added that his side still has room to improve both offensively and defensively, and every training session has been used to refine the fine details of their game plan.
