Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) displayed champion mentality in European competition. The French giant secured a spot in the Champions League final for two consecutive seasons after eliminating Bayern Munich with a narrow 6-5 aggregate in the semifinals.
Playing at Allianz Arena early Thursday morning WIB, PSG held Bayern to a 1-1 draw in the second leg. This result proved enough for Les Parisiens to advance to the final after maintaining their aggregate advantage from the tightly contested two-legged duel.
PSG took initiative from the opening minutes. Luis Enrique's squad played aggressively and silenced the Allianz Arena crowd just three minutes after kick-off.

Bayern Munich follows Arsenal to automatically qualify for the Champions League last 16.
The opening goal came from a swift combination on PSG's left flank. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pierced Bayern's defense before delivering an accurate pass into the penalty area. Ousmane Dembele met the ball with a powerful shot that beat Bayern Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The early goal put Bayern under immense pressure as they needed to chase the aggregate deficit. The hosts attempted to respond through movements by Luis Diaz and Harry Kane, but Matvey Safonov remained composed under PSG's crossbar.
The Russian goalkeeper repeatedly rescued the visitors. Safonov thwarted dangerous chances from Kane, Diaz, and the active Michael Olise who constantly built Bayern's attacks throughout the match.
Bayern protested a referee decision after claiming Nuno Mendes and Joao Neves committed handball in the penalty box. However, the referee chose to continue play and didn't award a penalty to the hosts.
Entering the second half, the match tempo increased dramatically. PSG nearly doubled their lead through Kvaratskhelia, but Manuel Neuer made a brilliant save to keep Bayern's hopes alive.
Meanwhile, Safonov again displayed impressive reflexes by denying back-to-back chances from Luis Diaz and Olise. PSG's solid defensive performance frustrated Bayern throughout the game.
Bayern finally equalized in injury time at 90+4 minutes. Harry Kane scored after receiving Alphonso Davies' pass near the penalty area before unleashing an accurate finish into PSG's net.
However, the goal came too late. The final whistle confirmed Bayern's elimination, while PSG celebrated their Champions League final ticket.
In the upcoming final, PSG will face Arsenal who earlier eliminated Atletico Madrid with a 2-1 aggregate. This duel presents a major opportunity for PSG to finally realize their ambition of adding a Champions League trophy.
