Indonesia's Badminton women's team has ensured their target was met at the 2026 Uber Cup after securing a Bronze Medal by advancing to the semifinals. This achievement serves as a positive signal for PBSI (Indonesian Badminton Association) in building new strength towards fiercer competition at the world level.
Competing in Horsens, Denmark, the Red and White team displayed high spirit and determination since the early stages of the tournament. They were able to overcome various challenges and showed consistent performance until reaching the top four.
Head of Coaching and Achievement at PP PBSI, Eng Hian, stated that this achievement has met the target set before the tournament began. He views this result as an important foundation for the next steps in athlete development.

“We appreciate the struggle of the athletes who managed to reach the semifinals according to the target. Moving forward, these results become evaluation material so that the team's performance can be more optimal,” said Eng Hian in an official statement from Jakarta.
Throughout the tournament, Indonesia showed quite significant progress. Not only in terms of playing technique, but also in terms of increasingly mature match mentality when facing pressure at the international level.
Furthermore, several young players gained the opportunity to compete in this prestigious team event. This experience is considered very valuable as provision to strengthen the national team structure in the future.
Indonesia's journey was ultimately halted in the semifinals after losing 1-3 to South Korea. Although failing to advance to the final, the team's performance still received appreciation for being able to compete with strong countries.
South Korea then emerged as Champion after defeating China with a score of 3-1 in the final match. This title is the third for South Korea, previously won in 2010 and 2022.
This achievement puts South Korea level with Indonesia and the United States in terms of title collection. Meanwhile, China remains the country with the most titles in the tournament's history, winning 16 times.
Moving forward, PBSI affirms it will conduct a comprehensive evaluation across various aspects, ranging from technical, strategy, to the physical and mental readiness of the athletes.
The main focus is to strengthen regeneration and increase consistency so that the Indonesian Women's Team can compete again at the highest level and chase the championship title in future editions.
