Defeat at a crucial moment haunts Indonesia's women's Badminton team again. In the semifinal of the 2026 Uber Cup, the Red-and-White squad had to acknowledge the strength of South Korea with a 1-3 score at Forum Horsens, Saturday night WIB.
The deciding match featured Women's Doubles Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum against the Korean pair Jeong Na Eun/Kim Hye Jeong. This duel became the closer and decider for Indonesia's semifinal fate.
From the start of the first game, Rachel/Febi were immediately under pressure. Jeong/Kim's fast and aggressive play troubled the Indonesian pair. Jeong/Kim once led Rachel/Febi 7-0.

Though they narrowed the gap to 12-16, Rachel/Febi's playing pattern was readable by Jeong/Kim. The South Korean pair closed the first game 21-16.
Entering the second game, the scenario didn't change much. Jeong/Kim again dictated the tempo and led 11-5 after securing four consecutive points.
A quick response came from Rachel/Febi. With more aggressive play, they turned the situation to 16-15.
Unfortunately, they lost crucial points at the end before falling 18-21.
This defeat completed South Korea's dominance since the match began. Earlier, Indonesia trailed after Putri Kusuma Wardani couldn't contain An Se Young's play, surrendering in two straight games 19-21 and 5-21.
In the following match, doubles Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi put up a fierce fight but had to acknowledge Baek Ha Na/Lee So Hee's superiority through a rubber game 16-21, 21-19, and 15-21.
Indonesia's sole point came through Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan after defeating Sim Yu Jin with identical 21-19 and 21-19 scores, keeping hope alive before it vanished in the fourth match.
This result confirms Indonesia's exit in the semifinals while extending the title drought in the 2026 Thomas Cup and this year's Uber Cup. Previously, Indonesia's men's team was eliminated earlier after failing to pass the group stage.
