The Super League 2025/2026 title race enters its hottest phase after Borneo FC secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Persita Tangerang at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda. This result brings Borneo level on points with league leaders Persib Bandung, both teams now holding 72 points.
With three matches remaining, the competition will intensify until the final week.
Next, Persib will visit Persija's home ground, SUGBK, on Sunday, May 10, 2026. This match is crucial for both Persib and Persija.

Playing in front of thousands of their supporters, Borneo displayed high intensity from the first minute. Fabio Lefundes' side forced Persita to defend in a low block and rely on counter-attacks.
The first chance came in the 22nd minute. Kaio Nunes unleashed a powerful shot from inside the penalty box, but Persita Goalkeeper Igor Rodrigues denied it.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 38th minute. Capitalizing on a mistake by Persita defender Muhammad Toha, Mariano Peralta quickly seized the ball before slotting it home for the opening goal. 1-0 to the hosts.
Persita tried to respond through a swift counter-attack finished with a header by Zulfan Djiaulhaq, but Nadeo Argawinata kept his goal safe.
