In the remote Scottish Highlands, a new destination offers a unique holiday experience. To reach Kilchoan Estate by Dunton, guests must take a small boat or walk as there are no highways to the location. This very isolation is its main allure.
The resort stands within a natural area spanning over 5,000 hectares, BETWEEN Loch Nevis and Loch Hourn, and will open in June 2026.
The environment remains pristine, far from urban crowds. Upon arrival, guests will see stone and timber cottages blending seamlessly with the surroundings.

Initially, five cottages with two to five bedrooms are available. Designed by Waldo Works, they retain the local architectural character.
Materials like stone, pine wood, and slate create a warm, simple yet elegant atmosphere.
Activities here revolve around nature. Guests can hike, swim in cold natural waters, kayak, or fish. Lucky visitors might spot red deer and golden eagles in their native habitat.
At night, the ambiance transforms into profound tranquility. The area’s exceptionally dark skies make stars appear vividly clear. This stargazing experience ranks among the most captivating attractions for tourists.
After daytime pursuits, guests can unwind at the spa, complete with a sauna and yoga studio. Cuisine follows a simple yet high-quality concept—from cottage breakfasts to communal dinners featuring Scottish specialties.
"It’s about isolation, nature, and deeply personal experiences," says Dunton’s Executive Vice President, Edoardo Rossi.
Priced from £1,100 per night, Kilchoan Estate offers a holiday focused on serenity, nature, and privacy.
