The final Indonesia U-17 squad for the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia has been officially announced, featuring three Diaspora Players as key reinforcements. Their inclusion forms part of the team's strategy to compete in the increasingly challenging Asian tournament.
The three players are Mike Rajasa from FC Utrecht, Noha Pohan (NAC Breda), and Mathew Baker from Melbourne City. The latter brings valuable experience having previously played in both the U-17 Asian Cup and U-17 World Cup.
They complete the 23-player roster preparing for the tournament. These diaspora talents will collaborate with domestic players including Noah Leo Duvert, Putu Ekayana, Zidane Raditya, Chico Jericho, Dava Yunna, and Sean Rahman.

Under coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, Indonesia is drawn in Group B alongside Asian powerhouses Japan U-17, China U-17, and Qatar U-17.
This group is considered one of the toughest, especially since Japan holds the record as the tournament's most successful team with four championship titles.
Bali United contributes the most players with four names. Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta, Persik Kediri, Persebaya Surabaya, and Adhyaksa FC each supply three players.
The tournament will be held in Jeddah from May 5-22, 2026. Beyond competing for the Asian title, this event also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarter-finals while securing World Cup tickets.
With a blend of Diaspora Players and local talent, Indonesia U-17 arrives with high ambitions. Though formidable challenges await, opportunities to create upsets remain open if the Young Garuda squad can perform consistently at the highest level.
