Persib Bandung displayed Champion mentality by rallying from a two-goal deficit to defeat Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC 4-2 in the Week 30 Liga Super match at Sumpah Pemuda PKOR Way Halim Stadium, Bandarlampung, on Thursday night. This victory wasn't just three points but also a strong statement in the title race.

From the start, the match was played at a high tempo. Persib dominated possession, but Bhayangkara looked sharp through quick counter-attacking schemes.

The home team's strategy paid off when Doumbia opened the scoring in the 5th minute, followed by Sidibe's goal in the 25th minute. Both goals came from swift transitions orchestrated by Moussa Sidibe.

Trailing 0-2, Persib didn't lose their way. They kept pressing, looking for gaps in the Bhayangkara defense marshalled by Aqil Savik.

That effort finally bore fruit just before halftime, as Fedrico Barba reduced the deficit with a goal in first-half stoppage time, capitalizing on a pass from Asam Alis.

Entering the second half, Persib's intensity increased drastically. Sustained pressure produced the equalizer in the 49th minute through Rosebergne da Silva. Momentum shifted.

Persib grew more confident. Relentless attacks by the Maung Bandung (Persib's nickname) forced Bhayangkara deeper.

In the 60th minute, Beckham Putra scored a spectacular goal from outside the penalty box. His shot deflected off an opponent before curling sharply into the net, making it 3-2.

In the lead, Persib tried to control the tempo. Bhayangkara attempted to rally and even scored twice, but both goals were ruled out for offside.

Adam Alis sealed the 4-2 victory for the visitors with his goal in the 89th minute.

This result propelled Persib back to the top of the Standings, displacing Borneo FC with the same points, 69, but ahead on head-to-head record.

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara dropped to sixth place with 47 points.

"We didn't start the match well. We had actually informed and explained to the players How Bhayangkara counter-attacks, but they managed to score two quick goals," said coach Bojan at the press conference in Bandarlampung on Thursday.

According to him, Persib had three chances in the first half that should have been goals, but only one was converted.

"Entering the second half, we showed a significant change in our game. The players started to understand the tactical instructions given and played more aggressively. We wanted to show that we have good tactics and a strong desire to win the match," he said.

He emphasized that this victory is crucial preparation for the upcoming match.

"Overall, everything was good and finally we can prepare ourselves for the next match," he concluded.
