Veda Ega Pratama continues to write a surprising story in his debut season in Moto3 2026. The young Indonesian rider representing Honda Team Asia occupies sixth place in the provisional Standings, opening a great opportunity to seize the Rookie of the Year title.

Quoted from the MotoGP website, Veda has collected 37 points from three rounds. He is only eight points behind Marco Morelli (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) in fifth position.

Meanwhile, the top of the Standings is led by Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) with 90 points.

Positions two to four are occupied by Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo, 53 points), Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing, 49 points), and Valentin Perrone (Red Bull KTM Tech3, 47 points).

However, the main spotlight is directed at Veda. From the top six of the provisional standings, only the rider from Indonesia is a pure rookie in the 2026 season.

Marco Morelli is indeed undergoing his first full season this year, but the Argentine rider had previously experienced eight Moto3 race rounds in 2025. That fact makes Veda's achievement feel even more special.

Veda Pratama has shown brilliant performance in his debut season in Moto3.

Consistency is the main strength of the 17-year-old rider. From four races, he only failed to score points once, specifically at the United States GP after crashing on the fifth lap.

Outside of that incident, Veda has always been competitive. At the Thailand GP, Brazil GP, and Spain GP, he successfully finished in the points zone and demonstrated his ability to quickly adapt at the world level.

His best moment so far came at the Brazil GP when Veda secured third place on the podium. This result confirms his potential as one of the most promising young talents on the Moto3 grid.

Meanwhile, at the Thailand GP and Spain GP, Veda finished fifth and sixth respectively.

These results show that the podium finish was no coincidence, but rather the fruit of consistent speed.

The season is still long, but the impressive start by Veda Ega Pratama has sent a strong signal. Indonesia has a young rider ready to compete with the world's best talent
