Chelsea slipped up again in matchweek 34 of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The Blues had to acknowledge Brighton & Hove Albion's superiority after suffering a crushing 0-3 defeat in the match held at the AMEX Stadium on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, early morning WIB.
This loss caused Chelsea's position to plummet in the Standings. They now drop to seventh place with 58 points, while Brighton managed to climb to sixth place after collecting 50 points, as reported by the English Premier League.
Brighton went on the offensive immediately from the opening whistle. Playing in front of their home supporters, the hosts successfully took an early lead in the 3rd minute through Ferdi Kadioglu's goal. His low drive hit a Chelsea defender before finally beating Robert Sanchez.

Entering the second half, Chelsea tried to respond with several tactical changes. However, Brighton's effectiveness once again proved decisive.
In the 56th minute, a quick counter-attack resulted in a second goal for the home side. Jack Hinshelwood managed to capitalize on a pass from Gorginio Rutter to double the advantage to 2-0.
Trailing behind, Chelsea attempted to increase their attacking intensity. Several chances were created, including by Garnacho and Marc Guiu, but they couldn't breach Brighton's solid defense.
