Jakarta once again welcomes one of the biggest icons in World Football. Ronaldo Nazario joined the excitement of the Clash of Legends match featuring Barca Legends against DRX Legends at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Saturday evening, April 18 WIB.
The presence of this Brazilian national team legend became the main spotlight, not only due to his status as one of the greatest strikers of all time, but also because this visit marks his second time coming to Indonesia.
Ronaldo revealed he still holds memories from his first visit to the country. Back then, he arrived with PSV Eindhoven during a preseason tour as a rising Wonderkid.

"I still remember coming to Indonesia with PSV Eindhoven for a preseason tour several years ago," stated Ronaldo during a press conference in Jakarta.
Three decades later, Ronaldo returned to Indonesia with a different status. While he previously came as a young star eager to prove himself, he now arrives as a living Football Legend welcomed with full enthusiasm.
The former striker of Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid expressed being impressed by the warm welcome from fans since landing at the airport.
"I'm happy to be back here. The supporters' enthusiasm has been extraordinary from the airport to the hotel. I'm sure tomorrow will be a beautiful night and an enjoyable match," he added.
In this prestigious legends match, Ronaldo confirmed he won't take the field as a player. The figure nicknamed "The Phenomenon" chose to become the tactician for DRX Legends.
This decision was made as he felt his physical condition is no longer ideal for playing. Ronaldo admitted it's been a long time since he left competitive football and now plays tennis more often.
"People know me as a fast player who loved dribbling and scoring goals. But I don't think it's a good idea to perform now with my body in poor condition and being slower," he said.
Despite not playing, Ronaldo believes the match will be lively. He also invited fans to fill Gelora Bung Karno Stadium to enjoy a nostalgic night with world legends.
"What matters is this will be fun – meeting old friends and enjoying the match. I hope the stadium will be full. Come, because this will be a beautiful game," concluded Ronaldo.
The DRX Legends he leads are strengthened by big names like Frank Ribéry, Claude Makélélé, Fabio Cannavaro, David Silva, Keisuke Honda, Alessandro Del Piero, and John Arne Riise.
On the opposing side, Barca Legends also feature renowned stars like Rivaldo, Ricardo Quaresma, Javier Saviola, Phillip Cocu, Cristian Tello, and Juan Pablo Sorín.
