“The sooner the better, honestly, for me personally too. I don't think it'll take much longer before I make a decision, and then there will naturally be talks with the club,” Neuer stated on the Bundesliga website Wednesday.

Turning 40 and his Injury history complicate the equation. Neuer remains competitive, still pivotal under the crossbar, yet he refuses to let trophies dictate his choice.

In other words, not even winning the UEFA Champions League would sway his mindset.
