Lovina Festival 2026 is Momentum for Buleleng to Boost North Bali Tourism

Buleleng Regency is finalizing preparations ahead of Lovina Festival 2026, scheduled for 24–29 July 2026. This annual event is designed to become the primary growth driver for North Bali tourism. The five-day festival will not only showcase a diverse range of cultural and sports attractions, but is also formally listed as part of the 2026 Nusantara Charisma Event (KEN).

Through this festival, the Buleleng Regency Government aims to deliver an enhanced, holistic visitor experience while accelerating tourist arrival growth to the Lovina area, which is renowned for its calm coastal line and signature dolphin watching tourism.

Final Preparations Ahead of Festival Opening

Putu Ayu Reika Nurhaeni, Chair of the Lovina Festival 2026 Organizing Committee, confirmed that all regional government work units (OPD) have entered the final preparation phase to ensure smooth execution for the entire event series.

"We have instructed all regional government work units to verify their respective readiness to deliver a safe, orderly and comfortable festival experience for visitors. It must be emphasized that Lovina Festival is an official part of the 2026 Nusantara Charisma Event (KEN)," stated Putu Ayu Reika Nurhaeni.

She noted that final coordination meetings are being conducted to refine every technical operational detail prior to the official festival opening.

"This is our closing preparation meeting. Thank you to all parties that have collaborated thus far. Let us use this final window to ensure every preparation is fully completed, so that Lovina Festival 2026 can be executed successfully," she added.

Visitor Safety and Comfort Set As Top Priority

Multiple government and community bodies have deployed operational support systems to ensure all attendees can enjoy the festival comfortably.

The Transportation Agency has established 10 dedicated parking zones across the festival precinct, with operational support from Kalibukbuk Village and Kaliasem Village to mitigate vehicle congestion.

For security, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) alongside relevant security stakeholders will conduct entry screening, routine patrols and fixed security deployments at 14 strategic locations for the full duration of the festival.

Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Service has placed emergency response teams on standby, while the Health Agency has established on-site medical support posts for festival visitors.

Eco-Friendly Festival Framework With Local MSME Support

Beyond event logistics, the organizing committee has placed equal priority on maintaining environmental cleanliness at the tourism precinct.

The Environment Agency has installed multiple Temporary Waste Collection Points (TPS) across the festival area, and scheduled dedicated cleaning operations three times per day.

All participating micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are required to implement source-separated waste management to preserve cleanliness and comfort in the Lovina area.

On the economic development side, the Agency for Trade, Industry, Cooperatives and MSMEs has completed curation for 82 local business participants, to ensure only high quality local products are presented to visitors.

Inclusive Attractions For All Visitor Demographics

Lovina Festival 2026 will host a curated programme of activities integrating cultural heritage, sports and public entertainment.

Visitors will be able to enjoy mini sailboat regattas, community running events, cross country races, traditional Gerumbungan cow parades, public nutrition campaigns, traditional cultural performances, and modern live music entertainment.

This varied event line up is designed to attract visitors across all age and interest groups, while also extending average tourist length of stay in North Bali.

Beyond providing public entertainment, Lovina Festival forms a core component of long term strategy to cement Lovina's reputation as one of Bali's leading premium tourist destinations.

Full promotional support is being coordinated by the Buleleng Regency Communication, Informatics, Cybersecurity and Statistics Agency, which will deliver full event documentation, media outreach, official press conferences and live broadcast services to allow global public audiences to follow the full festival programme online.
