Sentul – May becomes the most crucial phase for Football enthusiasts. Through the Itsme Podcast from the Sentul studio, Bogor, hosts Raisha and Gilang Respaty alongside senior analysts Bung Ropan and Akmal Marhali, dissect three championship title races: the Champions League, the Premier League, and the Indonesian Super League.

Mental Battle at Europe's Peak: PSG vs Arsenal
The first spotlight falls on the 2025/2026 Champions League final. This ultimate clash is more than just a test of strategy; it's a test of mental fortitude. PSG reached the final via a "hellish path", meaning the mentality and fighting spirit of the Paris squad is considered more tested. Conversely, The Gunners' progress through a relatively easier route raises questions.

Can Martin Odegaard and his teammates overcome stage fright? Akmal and Bung Ropan agree that European competition experience and Arsenal's defensive solidity will be absolutely key to containing PSG's attacking aggression in the critical minutes.

EPL Steering Wheel in Arsenal's Hands, Shadowed by City's Diesel Engine
Shifting to England, the battle for the EPL crown is equally adrenaline-fueled. Arsenal leads the standings with 76 points from 35 matches, five points ahead of Manchester City who have one game in hand. Mathematically, the title destiny lies entirely in the hands of Mikel Arteta's side.

They only need an additional 8 points to definitively secure the title, a maximum tally impossible for The Citizens to reach. Although on paper it favours Arsenal, Akmal warns about the mentality factor. Man City are like a diesel engine that gets stronger towards the season's end. If Arsenal slips up and drops even a few points, City are ready to punish them.

Domestic Controversy: Persib's "Red Carpet" at Borneo FC's Home Ground
On the domestic front, the Indonesian Super League drama centers on the controversy surrounding the venue change for the Classic Match between Persija vs Persib to Segiri Stadium, Samarinda. Currently, Persib and Borneo FC are tied on identical points at the top (72 points), shadowed by Persija (65 points). Bung Ropan views this match relocation as a bonus lifeline for Persib because they are freed from the massive pressure of the home supporters in Jakarta.

Akmal also highlighted the irony of this decision, where Persija instead has to "take refuge" at the home ground of their main rival's direct competitor. Now, the Kemayoran Tigers hold the role of kingmakers. If they successfully block Persib's path at Segiri, then Borneo FC's road to the championship title will become increasingly smooth.
