Indonesian National Team Coach John Herdman captured public attention after being seen playing Football with locals on a beach in Lombok.
The moment occurred after he led the Garuda Squad in the FIFA Series 2026 held from March 27-30. Herdman's actions then went viral on social media on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
In the circulating video, the English coach appeared to mingle seamlessly with local residents. He played casually on the sand wearing only shorts, barefoot and without a shirt.

Herdman even took the time to visit several clubs and attend training sessions. On one occasion, he entered the Persib Bandung dressing room to discuss directly with the players.

The FIFA Series 2026 marked Herdman's First Tournament with the Garuda team. In this event, Indonesia secured a convincing 4-0 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis on March 27, before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bulgaria in the final match on March 30.
