Indonesian rider, Mario Aji, had to end his race early when competing in the Moto2 Grand Prix of the United States 2026 held at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, March 29, 2026, local time.

The rider from Idemitsu Honda Team Asia failed to finish (DNF) after crashing in the last two laps, despite having competed in the points zone earlier.

According to the official MotoGP website, Mario Aji performed competitively throughout the race. He maintained his position in the midfield group and engaged in a fierce duel with Adrian Huertas from Italtrans Racing Team.

Had Been in Points Contention

However, an incident near the end dashed his hopes of scoring points. His crash in the final two laps prevented him from reaching the finish line.

As a result, Mario Aji has dropped to 19th position in the provisional 2026 Moto2 championship Standings.

Agius Secures Dramatic win

Meanwhile, victory went to Senna Agius of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP. He successfully overtook Celestino Vietti from HDR SpeedRS Team in a tight battle that lasted until the final lap.

Third place was secured by Izan Guevara of BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2.

The race featured intense drama from the start. Alonso Lopez initially led before losing his winning chance due to an error. Barry Baltus also received a long lap penalty that caused him to drop positions.

The competition intensified when Vietti briefly took the lead with three laps remaining. However, Agius responded immediately by reclaiming first position in the final two laps and defending it until the finish.
