Veda Ega's Unfortunate Fate in Austin: Fastest Lap Ended in DNF

Young Indonesian racer Indonesia, Veda Ega Pratama, had to end his race early when competing in the 2026 Moto3 United States Grand Prix held at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, March 29, 2026, local time.
The rider from Honda Team Asia failed to finish (DNF) after experiencing an incident during the race.
According to the official MotoGP website, Veda showed promising form from the start. He began the race from fourth position after displaying impressive performance in the qualifying session.

Showed Early Promise
When the starting lights went out, Veda immediately engaged in a fierce battle with fellow rookies like Casey O’Gorman from SIC58 Squadra Corse and Joel Esteban from LEVEL UP - MTA.
Although he dropped to eighth position at one point, Veda managed to recover and demonstrate his speed. He even set the fastest lap on the fourth lap, indicating significant potential to compete at the front.
However, this positive momentum didn't last long.
Highside Incident Ends Race
On the following lap, Veda had an Accident while exiting Turn 11. He experienced a highside that caused him to crash.
The situation worsened as Joel Esteban, who was directly behind him, couldn't avoid the fallen rider and was also involved in the incident. As a result of this event, Veda was confirmed unable to continue the race.
2026 Moto3 Americas Winner
Meanwhile, the race was won by Guido Pini from Leopard Racing. He finished first with a narrow margin.
Second place was secured by Maximo Quiles from CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team, followed by Alvaro Carpe from Red Bull KTM Ajo in third position.
