World Golfer, Tiger Woods, is back in the spotlight after being involved in a car accident that led to his arrest in Florida.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 27, 2026, in the Jupiter Island area near his residence. The car driven by Woods reportedly rolled over after colliding with another vehicle while attempting to overtake on a narrow road.

Although the accident appeared serious, Woods reportedly sustained no injuries. However, officers detected signs of impairment during on-scene evaluation.

Initial tests showed no alcohol in his system. This raised suspicions that Woods was under the influence of drugs or other substances.

The situation grew more complicated when he refused to take a urine test, which constitutes an additional violation under local law.

Consequently, Woods faces multiple misdemeanor charges including DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to required testing.

Released After 8 Hours in Custody

Though briefly detained, Woods is no longer in custody. He was released the same day after approximately eight hours of detention, consistent with Florida's legal procedures prior to posting bail.

No injuries were reported for either Woods or the other driver involved.

This incident recalls a similar 2017 episode when Woods faced DUI charges that resulted in light penalties.

As one of golf's greatest legends, this latest event reignites questions about Woods' career future, particularly after he showed signs of a competitive comeback in early 2026 tournaments.
