Golfer from South Korea, Jeongeun Lee6, has finally clinched a championship title again after winning the IOA Golf Classic 2026. This victory marks Lee6's first since winning the U.S. Women's Open in 2019.

Lee6 secured the win dramatically on the final hole. She needed one birdie to seal the title and executed it perfectly through a precise shot.

"Yes, if I made birdie, I could win. I knew that," said Lee6 as quoted by the LPGA.

Her accurate approach shot stopped the ball very close to the cup, allowing her to easily sink the winning putt and lock up the championship.

This triumph holds deep meaning for Lee6. After claiming a major title in 2019, her performance declined until she lost her spot on the main tour.

She fought her way back through the Epson Tour, the second-tier competition that serves as a pathway to the LPGA Tour.

Her tournament journey wasn't entirely smooth either. During the final round, Lee6 recorded several early bogeys. However, she rallied by scoring an eagle and several crucial birdies that propelled her back into top contention.

Strong mentality proved key to her success, ultimately securing victory in the closing moments.

This result immediately vaulted Lee6 to the top spot in the Race for the Card Standings, which determines players eligible for promotion to next season's LPGA Tour.

The IOA Golf Classic tournament is part of the Epson Tour held in Florida, United States, featuring stroke play format with a total purse of 200 thousand US dollars.

This win also signals a resurgence for Lee6. With restored confidence, she now has a significant opportunity to compete again at the highest level of World Golf.
