Janice, partnering with Taiwanese player Chan Hao-ching, failed to overcome seventh seeds Cristina Bucsa/Nicole Melichar-Martinez. In a tightly contested match, Janice/Chan lost 7-6(10), 4-6, 5-10 according to WTA records.

The match was competitive from the start, with both pairs relying on strong serves. Bucsa/Melichar-Martinez recorded two aces and landed 74.4% of their first serves. Meanwhile, Janice/Chan performed effectively by winning 87% of points from their first serves.

The first set remained balanced. At 3-3, Janice/Chan secured the seventh game to take the lead. However, their opponents fought back to level at 6-6, forcing a tie-break to decide the set.

The tie-break was extended and dramatic. Janice/Chan ultimately secured 12 of 22 points to claim the first set and take the match lead.

Entering the second set, the Indonesian/Taiwanese pair led early. But Bucsa/Melichar-Martinez recovered to level at 3-3 before taking control of the match.

Despite Janice/Chan recording 77.8% first serves in, their opponents showed greater consistency. Bucsa/Melichar-Martinez won 83.3% of first-serve points, registered one ace, and converted both break point opportunities to secure the second set.

The match proceeded to a deciding super tie-break. At this crucial moment, a double fault by Janice/Chan allowed the Spanish/American pair to maintain momentum.

Bucsa/Melichar-Martinez closed the match after one hour and 46 minutes with a 10-5 super tie-break victory.

In the Quarterfinals, Bucsa/Melichar-Martinez will face the winners between Ingrid Neel/Peyton Stearns and second seeds Gabriela Dabrowski/Luisa Stefani.
