Justin Hubner scores as Fortuna Sittard defeats NEC 3-2.

Indonesian National Team Defender, Justin Hubner, added his name to the scoresheet as Fortuna Sittard secured a 3-2 victory over NEC Nijmegen in the 25th week of the Dutch League 2025/26. The match took place at Goffertstadion, NEC's home ground, on Sunday, 1 March 2026, early morning Western Indonesia Time.

The additional three points propelled Fortuna Sittard up to ninth place in the provisional Standings with 32 points. Meanwhile, NEC remained stuck in fourth place with 43 points and failed to overtake Ajax, who were one position above despite having an identical points tally, as reported by the official Eredivisie website.

In the match, Hubner played from the first minute as a center back and made important contributions, not only in defense but also in supporting the attack.

NEC took the lead first in the 19th minute through Tjaronn Chery, who capitalized on Koki Ogawa's assist. This goal gave the hosts more confidence early in the match.

However, Fortuna responded immediately. In the 27th minute, Ivan Marquez equalized to make it 1-1 after seizing an opportunity in front of goal. The score remained level until halftime despite both teams continuing to pressure each other.

Entering the second half, Fortuna appeared more aggressive and dominated ball possession. Their efforts paid off in the 59th minute with a goal from Mohamed Ihattaren, Putting the visitors ahead 2-1.

Fortuna's lead extended further six minutes later. Justin Hubner scored in the 65th minute after receiving a precise pass from Ihattaren. This goal increased the visitors' lead to 3-1.

NEC did not give up easily. During Injury time, Brayan Linssen reduced the deficit with a goal in the 90+3rd minute amidst a scramble in front of the goal.
