Ligue 1 club Lille OSC suffered a defeat in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 playoffs early Friday morning, February 20, 2026 WIB. Playing at the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium, Lille fell 0-1 to Crvena Zvezda in a tightly contested match from the opening minutes.

The match highlights weren't solely focused on the final result, but also on the absence of left-back Indonesian National Team player Calvin Verdonk

He was not fielded as Lille lost 0-1 to Crvena Zvezda at home.

The Indonesian National Team left-back only watched Lille's defeat from the substitutes' bench.

The decisive winning goal for the Serbian representative was scored by Franklin Tebo Uchenna.

Due to this loss, Lille must secure a victory with at least a two-goal margin in the second leg to advance to the Round of 16.

Meanwhile, Crvena Zvezda only needs to secure a Draw

This situation puts the French representative under pressure heading into the decisive match.

In the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 playoffs, Lille will visit Crvena Zvezda's headquarters at Rajko Mitic Stadium, Belgrade, on Thursday, February 26 local time.

The heated atmosphere at the opponent's home ground is predicted to pose an additional challenge for Lille, while simultaneously opening an opportunity for Verdonk to potentially feature in this Do-or-Die Match.

With the temporary 0-1 aggregate, everything remains possible.
