The duel between two current top teams of the 2026 Super League, Borneo FC Samarinda vs Persib Bandung, has been postponed. Originally, the match was scheduled at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. 

This decision isn't merely a technical adjustment. Asian commitments form the backdrop.

In its official statement, I.League, the organizer of the Super League, released the updated schedule for Pesut Etam versus Maung Bandung on March 15.

This means the prestigious duel is delayed by nearly a month. The postponement could potentially disrupt the momentum of both teams currently locked in a tight battle at the top of the standings.

Not only the Borneo FC vs Persib match, but schedule changes also affect Dewa United. The Tangerang-based club must adjust due to their involvement in Asian competitions.

Two Dewa United matches were rescheduled due to clashes with the 2026 AFC Challenge Cup fixtures.

Their match against Bhayangkara Presisi FC at Indomilk Arena, Tangerang, originally set for March 2, was moved to March 1.

The Dewa United vs Persija Jakarta duel at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, previously scheduled for March 8, was shifted to March 15.

These schedule adjustments follow the participation of Persib Bandung in the 2026 AFC Champions League Two and Dewa United in the 2026 AFC Challenge Cup.

Clubs competing in Asian tournaments are granted flexibility to focus on the international stage without compromising domestic commitments.
