The transfer window for the BRI Super League 2025/2026 mid-season is moving fast. Persija Jakarta has officially added firepower by signing young Indonesian striker Mauro Nils Zijlstra. Meanwhile, Ivar Jenner is reported to have signed a contract with Dewa United.
Persija has secured the player, born in Zaandam, Netherlands on November 9, 2004, with a 2.5-season contract.
Recruiting Jenner isn't just about plugging a short-term need, but investing in a young profile with European experience and international exposure.

Mauro welcomes this challenge with full enthusiasm and acknowledges the expectations of a club as big as Persija.
"I am very ready to embrace the challenge with Persija. Persija is a big team that has championship targets this season. I am very enthusiastic about accepting this challenge. I am very happy, and so is my family. As I said, Persija is a big club. So I am very happy to be here," Mauro stated on Wednesday.
From the management side, this recruitment is seen as a strategic decision. Persija Director Mohamad Prapanca emphasized that Mauro is here to deepen the squad this season while also building a foundation for the future.
"We see Mauro as a young player with great potential and a promising future. This season he will add depth to the Persija squad. Moreover, Mauro's presence is part of the process of building a strong team, not just for one season, but for several seasons ahead," said Prapanca.
Mauro's development path was shaped in the Netherlands. He joined the AZ Alkmaar academy in 2019, then continued his progress at Amsterdamsche FC (2019–2022), NEC Nijmegen (2022–2024), and FC Volendam since 2024.
At Volendam, Mauro began experiencing the professional atmosphere by being named in the first-team squad list for six Dutch League matches in the 2025/2026 Season, while refining his performance with the U21 team.
Mauro has recorded three appearances with the Indonesian National Team: two friendly matches against Taiwan and Lebanon, and one 2026 World Cup Qualifying match against Iraq.
Persija also affirmed its commitment to not blocking Mauro's opportunities to return to Europe in the future, despite his long-term contract.
With Mauro's arrival, Persija has brought in five new players during the mid-season transfer window. They are Fajar Fathurrahman, Alaeddine Ajaraie, Paulo Ricardo, Shayne Pattynama, and Mauro.
Ivar Jenner Joins Dewa United
The diaspora wave doesn't stop in Jakarta. Dewa United is preparing to welcome the arrival of Ivar Jenner. The 22-year-old midfielder is one step away from landing in Banten after ending his contract with FC Utrecht.
Although he hadn't broken into the first team, Jenner recorded 69 appearances for Utrecht's U-21 team, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Dutch media, Algemeen Dagblad, confirmed the direction of the move.
"Ivar Jenner will finish this season with Dewa United (Indonesia), after his contract with FC Utrecht was terminated," wrote the media outlet.
According to the same media, Jenner will sign a contract until the end of the season.
Jenner's presence in Indonesia recently has strengthened this rumor. The decision to part ways with Utrecht is seen as a strategic step to gain senior-level playing time.
