Arsenal through to the English League Cup final, awaiting Manchester City or Newcastle.

Arsenal secured a spot in the final of the English League Cup or Carabao Cup. The Gunners completed their mission with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the second leg at Emirates Stadium, London, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, early morning WIB.

Kai Havertz's solitary goal in second-half stoppage time proved decisive in a tense match. This result sealed a 4-2 aggregate win for Arsenal, following their 3-2 first-leg victory at Stamford Bridge. 

With their final ticket secured, Arsenal now await their opponent for the title match. The other semi-final between Manchester City and Newcastle will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, early morning WIB.

Arsenal played with greater control of the game. An early chance for Mikel Arteta's squad through Piero Hincapie's shot was saved by Chelsea Goalkeeper Roberto Sanchez. 

Chelsea, trailing on aggregate, attempted to respond by increasing their tempo.

However, the deadlock remained unbroken until halftime. The goalless scoreline actually increased pressure on the visitors.

Entering the second half, Chelsea intensified their attacks. Liam Rosenior's side pushed their defensive line higher to break down Arsenal's defense. As the intensity rose and challenges became fiercer, the risks multiplied.

Chelsea's high defensive line ultimately backfired. As the match entered its final minutes, Arsenal broke through with a swift counter-attack scheme. 

Havertz displayed remarkable composure by rounding Sanchez before slotting home in the 90+7th minute, making it 1-0. The Emirates erupted as Arsenal advanced to the final.

Manchester City or Newcastle will be Arsenal's final obstacle in their pursuit of the English League Cup trophy.
