Amid the bustle of the capital, South Jakarta emerges as the most visited urban landscape by Domestic Tourists. Recent data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of DKI Jakarta shows this area was the busiest destination throughout Q4 2025.

Head of BPS DKI Jakarta, Kadarmanto, revealed that South Jakarta contributed the highest proportion of visits at 27.86% of total Domestic Tourist trips to Jakarta.

This figure places the area synonymous with creative spaces, culinary hubs, and urban lifestyles at the top of domestic Travel maps.

Central Jakarta ranked second with 21.43% visit frequency.

Subsequently, domestic tourist movement spread relatively evenly: East Jakarta recorded 18.60%, followed by North Jakarta (16.60%) and West Jakarta (16.16%).

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands trailed with 0.36%.

This mobility surge aligns with an overall increase in domestic tourist trips to DKI Jakarta, reaching 26.67 million trips in Q4 2025.

This represents 7.62% quarterly growth and a 2.85% year-on-year increase from 2024, signaling post-pandemic recovery and consolidation of Jakarta's urban Tourism.

Notably, Tourism movement isn't solely external. Domestic trips originating from Jakarta itself hit 25.8 million – a 5.49% quarterly rise and 8.82% annual jump, indicating high mobility among capital residents exploring their own city.

By province of origin, tourist flow to Jakarta remains dominated by neighboring regions: West Java contributed the most trips (34.52 million), followed by Banten (18.05 million).

Other significant contributors were Central Java (3.75 million), East Java (3.69 million), Lampung (865,943), and other regions (40,508 trips).
