The Asia Pacific women's professional golf stage officially belonged to Thailand this week. Jaravee Boonchant delivered a stunning performance in the final round of the Indonesia Women's Open presented by BTN, held at Damai Indah Golf-BSD Course on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The 26-year-old Golfer successfully closed the tournament with a total score of 203 (13-under-par), securing her third international trophy.

Starting the final day at 7-under par, Jaravee initially had to closely trail South Korean representative Kim Seoyoon2, who impressed on the first nine holes. However, mental composure made the difference. Entering the back nine, Jaravee unleashed world-class form, carding 4 birdies—including a hat-trick of birdies on the final three holes—marred only by a single bogey.

Fierce competition came from her amateur compatriot Prim Prachanakorn. Despite applying pressure until the final hole, Prim had to settle for second place, finishing two strokes behind Jaravee.

Composure and Course Adaptation

In a post-round interview, Jaravee revealed that the key to her victory lay in better emotional management compared to the previous day.

"Today I played much calmer than yesterday. I stayed focused on my game. Yesterday when I missed short putts, my mind would wander. Today felt completely different," stated Jaravee, who took home the top prize of USD 108,000.

Non-technical factors—including having her best friend as caddy and her understanding of the challenging BSD Course layout—were crucial to her success in this second edition of the national tournament.

Commitment to Indonesian Professional Golf

Indonesia Women's Open Founder & Chairman CK Song praised the high standard of play demonstrated by the athletes. He emphasized that the tournament reflects a commitment to developing Indonesia's professional golf ecosystem, not just being a competition.

As the opening event of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit), this year's Indonesia Women's Open featured elite talents from the KLPGA Dream Tour and representatives from over 12 countries. The trophy presentation was attended by high-ranking government and corporate officials, including Indonesian Tourism Minister Widianti Putri Wardhana and Bank BTN's board of directors.
