Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed Jack Grealish is likely to go under the knife to address his leg injury. This situation could end the player's season earlier than expected.
Grealish suffered a broken leg during Everton's 1-0 away win against Aston Villa. The three points came at a heavy cost.
Moyes stated surgery is the most realistic option to recover Grealish.

“We believe he will most likely need surgery. It hasn't been fully confirmed yet, but this Injury looks set to keep him out for the rest of the season,” said Moyes in a press conference ahead of the away match against Brighton.
Grealish's absence is more than just losing a key player. Moyes stressed the injury is a major blow for Everton, both technically and psychologically for the team. Grealish's role is seen as going beyond his contributions on the pitch.
“This is really disappointing for the player, the club, and all of us here. He is a very important part, a big figure with vast experience. We will miss him greatly. He has done so many positive things for us,” Moyes continued.
Moyes chose not to speculate about Grealish's future with Everton. The team's current focus is entirely on the player's recovery process.
Jack Grealish is on loan from Manchester City, having joined last summer. Throughout this season, the England international has made 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
Now, Everton must prepare for the remainder of the season without one of their most influential squad figures, while hoping Grealish's recovery goes according to plan.
