The name Mariano Peralta is now recognized beyond just Segiri Stadium among Borneo FC fans. This agile South American winger has officially joined the world's elite as one of Football's top dribblers.
Peralta now ranks alongside Barcelona's sensational talent Lamine Yamal.
This recognition comes from renowned statistics provider Sofascore, which recently released its list of top dribblers across the world's highest-tier competitions.

However, Sofascore's official post didn't specify the exact timeframe for this data collection.
"Most successful dribbles by top-tier players worldwide in our database," Sofascore stated on Instagram on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Peralta's inclusion is particularly notable as only two players from this region cracked the global top 10.
Before revealing these names, Sofascore first announced the current king of dribbling.
The top spot belongs to Barcelona's 18-year-old winger Lamine Yamal. Hailed as Lionel Messi's successor, Yamal recorded 307 successful dribbles across 61 matches.
From Southeast Asia, the two players making the list are Arif Aiman and Mariano Peralta.
Arif Aiman plays for Johor Darul Ta'zim, which has dominated the Malaysian League for the past 11 seasons.
With Mariano Peralta entering the global top 10, Borneo FC and the Indonesia Super League now have representation in elite football's statistical landscape.
This transcends mere numbers - it validates that individual quality from Southeast Asian leagues can compete and gain recognition at the world's highest level.
For Borneo FC, this achievement proves their investment in creative players yields results.
For Indonesian Football, this signals that domestic-based talents can break into global recognition.
