As the first sun of 2026 rose over Jakarta, thousands of residents were already streaming toward the Ancol area. The New Year's Holiday turned this family Tourist Destination into the city's public gathering space. Releasing fatigue, greeting the sea, and celebrating the new year together.

Management of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk stated the first day of 2026 marked the peak visitation during the Christmas and New Year holidays, with visitor numbers reaching 81,400 by 7:00 PM WIB.

The densest crowds were recorded along the coastal recreation areas that are Jakarta's icons, stretching from Carnival Beach, Lagoon Beach, Ria Beach, Ancol Indah Beach to Bande Beach.

"After the beaches, the highest number of visitors went to Sea World and Dunia Fantasi (Dufan)," said Corporate Communication PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Daniel Windriatmoko.

Ancol reaffirmed its role as a cross-generational Holiday space. Children played in the sand, families spread picnic mats, while others explored amusement rides and the giant aquarium.

Amidst the Holiday bustle, Ancol also became a space for social solidarity. PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk will donate 10% of New Year's Eve entrance ticket sales to support flood and landslide disaster recovery efforts in Sumatra.

"As a BUMD owned by Jakarta Provincial Government, Ancol aims to exist not just as a recreation site, but as part of a caring, mutually supportive community," stated President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Winarto.

He added this commitment forms part of the company's social responsibility.

"We believe the happiness created through Ancol can coexist with compassion for others," he said.

On the first day of 2026, Ancol was more than just a Tourist Destination – it became a portrait of How the city celebrates leisure: embracing the sea, entertainment, togetherness, and social consciousness.
