Indonesia prepares to become the stage for an intercontinental strength test. The Indonesian National Team is confirmed to host the FIFA Series 2026, an official FIFA tournament scheduled for March to April 2026.
This event will feature four nations from different confederations and is part of the official FIFA Matchday calendar, a rare opportunity for the Garuda Squad to gauge their level on the international stage.
So far, three participants are known. The Indonesian National Team will participate as the AFC representative and host.

Indonesia's participation opens the chance to face opponents from outside Asia, something crucial in the process of improving quality and gaining experience competing at the international level.
European Representative Leaning Towards Finland
One participant slot comes from Europe. PSSI Executive Committee member, Arya Sinulingga, gave a strong signal about the team's identity. He mentioned a country with a FIFA Ranking around 75th in the world would take part, pointing towards Finland as the UEFA representative.
Arya Sinulingga made this statement on his personal YouTube channel, Bebas, while describing the competition level Indonesia would face.
"There is one country, its ranking is around 75 I think," said Arya Sinulingga.
Finland is known as a European team that regularly appears in various international competitions and possesses the disciplined playing style typical of the Nordic region.
If their participation is confirmed, Indonesia will get an opponent with the solid standards of European Football, a valuable challenge for the Garuda Squad.
Saint Kitts and Nevis Represents CONCACAF
The next participant comes from the Concacaf Zone, Saint Kitts and Nevis. This confirmation was announced directly through the official website of the Saint Kitts and Nevis football federation on December 16, 2025.
"Saint Kitts and Nevis will participate in the FIFA Series 2026 (FS26) scheduled to be held in Indonesia," wrote the Saint Kitts and Nevis Federation.
In the FIFA Rankings as of November 19, 2025, Saint Kitts and Nevis held the 154th position worldwide, while the Indonesian National Team was ranked 122nd.
Although on paper Indonesia is superior, inter-confederation meetings often present different dynamics, especially in terms of playing style and tactical approach.
One Slot Remains, Challenge Still Open
With Indonesia, Finland, and Saint Kitts and Nevis, the FIFA Series 2026 in Indonesia has brought together representatives from Asia, Europe, and North America and the Caribbean. The final slot has yet to be officially announced, adding to public curiosity about the tournament's strength map.
One thing is certain, the composition of FIFA Series 2026 participants promises a real test for the Indonesian National Team. More than just friendly matches, this event serves as a benchmark for how far the Garuda Squad can compete at the global level, facing differences in style, tempo, and intensity from all corners of the world.
