Napoli reaffirmed their status as an elite Italian force domestically. On the neutral Middle Eastern stage, efficiency and sharpness made the difference as the Partenopei secured the Italian Super Cup title.

Antonio Conte's squad clinched the Italian Super Cup after defeating Bologna 2-0 in the final at Al-Awwal Park Stadium, Riyadh, early Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025.

This final showcased Napoli's composure in managing high-stakes matches, while also serving as a personal stage for one decisive performer.

David Neres scored both of Napoli's goals across the two halves. The Brazilian winger opened the scoring late in the first half and sealed the victory after the break.

This trophy extends the club's historical record, marking Napoli's third Italian Super Cup triumph after 1990 and 2014.

From the opening whistle, Napoli pressed aggressively, creating the first chance through Eljif Elmas's shot, though it missed Bologna's goal.

Pressure continued as David Neres fashioned an opportunity, but his effort was saved by Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia.

Dominance finally paid off. Napoli broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with David Neres's first goal, seizing momentum heading into halftime.

After the restart, the tempo remained high. Napoli created danger through Amir Rrahmani's header, parried away by Ravaglia.

Napoli doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Neres netted his second from a loose ball in the penalty area.

Bologna attempted to rally and reduce the deficit, but Napoli successfully maintained their 2-0 advantage until full-time.
