Napoli declared the Serie A title race isn't over yet. Under the lights of the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Il Partenopei thrashed Cremonese 4-0 in the 34th giornata of Serie A, early Saturday WIB. This victory wasn't just worth three points, but also delayed Inter Milan's chance to clinch the scudetto this week.
Napoli played with high intensity from the first minute. They attacked relentlessly, as if wanting to send a message to league leaders Inter that this season isn't finished.
Scott McTominay opened the scoring quickly in the 3rd minute, capitalizing on a pass from Kevin De Bruyne. That goal changed the stadium atmosphere and gave Napoli full control of the match.

Cremonese tried to defend, but Napoli's pressure came in waves. Miguel Gutierrez and McTominay created chances, forcing the visiting defense to work hard throughout the first half.
Just before halftime, Napoli extended their lead through an own goal by Cremonese defender Filippo Terracciano in the 45th minute.
The situation worsened for the visitors when Kevin De Bruyne pounced on a loose ball in first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0.
Only seven minutes into the second half, Alisson Santos capped off Napoli's goal fest. His individual run ended with a calm finish, piercing the Cremonese goal in the 52nd minute.
Despite being four goals up, Napoli didn't slow down. They kept pressing and even earned a penalty in the 83rd minute, but McTominay's kick was saved by Cremonese Goalkeeper Emil Audero.
The 4-0 scoreline held firm until the final whistle.
The additional three points took Napoli to second place in the provisional Standings with 69 points. They have now cut the gap to nine points behind Inter Milan, who will play against Torino on Sunday night WIB.
For Cremonese, this defeat leaves them in a precarious relegation position, depending on the results of their rivals below them.
Now the pressure shifts to Inter. The Nerazzurri still lead comfortably at the top, but Napoli's win closed their chance to celebrate the title sooner.
Meanwhile, AC Milan still keep their mathematical chance alive despite facing a tough test when hosting Juventus at San Siro. The Rossoneri need a win to stay on the title contention path.
