Premier League enters a crucial phase approaching the turn of the year. This weekend, two giants, Arsenal and Liverpool, will be tested against opponents potentially capable of disrupting their ambitions to remain on a winning track.

Arsenal will visit Goodison Park, Everton's home ground, in the 17th week of the Premier League on Sunday, December 21, 2025, early morning WIB.

On paper, The Gunners arrive as league leaders and hold a 12-point advantage over Everton. However, recent head-to-head statistics serve as a serious alarm for Mikel Arteta's squad.

Everton has often been a stumbling block for Arsenal. Last season, Arsenal failed to win in both Premier League meetings against The Toffees.

Playing at both Emirates Stadium and Goodison Park, both matches ended in draws. That record makes this trip to Merseyside far from easy, even though Arsenal currently lead the title race.

Liverpool's Consistency Test

Liverpool also faces a tough opponent. The Reds are scheduled to visit Tottenham Hotspur's home ground on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 00:30 WIB.

This match presents an opportunity for Arne Slot's side to continue their positive trend and boost their position in the Standings.

Liverpool is currently on an unbeaten run in their last four Premier League matches, with a record of two wins and two draws.

The Reds are only two points behind the top four, making the duel against Tottenham a crucial fixture.

Not only Arsenal and Liverpool, the top-of-the-table race is also heated by the Aston Villa vs Manchester United match.

Villa, currently sitting third in the standings, are only three points behind Arsenal.

Unai Emery's team is in superb form with nine consecutive wins in all competitions, six of which were achieved in the Premier League, and they are ready to test the Red Devils' consistency at Villa Park.

With the packed schedule and the standings pressure intensifying, this week could be decisive for the direction of the Premier League title race.

Arsenal's consistency as league leaders is being tested, while Liverpool is challenged to maintain their momentum to return to the top.
