The long 12-year wait is over. Indonesia's women's compound archery team Indonesia successfully quenched the drought by presenting a Gold Medal at the SEA Games 2025 Thailand. This historic moment was born from calmness, precision, and a champion's mentality under pressure.

Competing at Football Field 1, Bang Kapi, Bangkok, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, the trio Nurisa Dian Ashrifah, Ratih Zilizati Fadhly, and Yurike Nina Bonita Pereira performed solidly when facing Singapore in the final match.

The duel was fierce from start to finish until the final arrow, before Indonesia secured a narrow 228–227 victory.

The last time Indonesia's women's compound archery stood on the highest SEA Games podium was in 2013 at Naypyidaw. After that, Indonesia only managed bronze at the 2017 SEA Games Kuala Lumpur and silver at the 2019 SEA Games Philippines.

The SEA Games 2025 became the long-awaited turning point after over a decade.

Ratih Zilizati Fadhly acknowledged the final match involved not just technique but also a high-pressure mental battle laden with history.

Pressure mounted as the women's compound team entered with uncertain status, especially after failing to podium at the Asian Games. Yet it was precisely there that this SEA Games gold found its significance.

The women's compound team rewrote history after a long hiatus. At the Asian Games, they finished fourth. But now, they answered all doubts with SEA Games 2025 Gold.

This victory serves as a resounding statement: Indonesia's women's compound team belongs at Southeast Asia's highest competitive level.

“We aimed to prove we are Indonesia's finest athletes, and today we demonstrated it,” stated Ratih.

For Yurike Nina Bonita Pereira, this gold held personal meaning. After taking silver at the 2019 Philippines SEA Games, the Bangkok gold became her first achievement in the biennial event.

“Gold was my focus since I'd never won it before. Honestly, bonuses aren't the main driver, but they certainly boost motivation and bring joy knowing athletes are valued,” Yurike said.
