Thailand secured a spot in the men's football semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games. Their 3-0 victory over Singapore in the final Group A match kept Indonesia U-22's hopes alive in the race for the best runner-up ticket.
Playing at Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, Thailand scored three goals: Siraphop Wandee in the 49th minute and a brace by Yotsakon Burapha in the 52nd and 55th minutes.
This result placed Thailand at the top of the final Group A standings with six points, securing a semifinal berth.

Alongside Thailand as Group A winners, Vietnam (Group B leaders) and Philippines (Group C winners) have also confirmed their progression to the semifinals.
The remaining slot will go to the best runner-up, and Indonesia still has a chance to claim it.
This slot will only be determined after the Indonesia vs Myanmar match on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 18:00 WIB at 700th Anniversary Stadium, Chiang Mai.
Currently, Malaysia leads the best runner-up standings with three points and a +1 goal difference.
Indonesia can displace Harimau Malaya (Malaysia), but only under demanding conditions. Indra Sjafri's squad must win by at least 3-0 to qualify.
If this scenario materializes, Indonesia would collect three points and surpass Malaysia on goal difference.
An alternative scenario involves Indonesia winning by a two-goal margin with high-scoring results like 5-3 or 6-4. In such cases, Indonesia would advance on superior goal productivity.
