Borneo FC arrives in Bandung with their heads held high. Coach Fabio Lefundes asserted that the Pesut Etam squad is not intimidated to face Persib Bandung in the postponed match of the 4th week of BRI Super League at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Friday night, December 5, 2025.
In a match predicted to be high-tension, Lefundes instead believes the supporter-filled atmosphere will bring positive energy for his team.
Borneo FC carries a mission to rise after their 0–1 defeat to Bali United last week before their home crowd.

"When we play away against a team that can fill the stadium, the match feels much more enjoyable to play. I believe the players feel the same, and I'm sure they think alike," stated Lefundes, quoted from the official I.League website, Friday.
Not Doubting the Key Players
The Brazilian coach emphasized he isn't troubled by the home supporters. He fully trusts Mariano Peralta and colleagues to perform courageously.
He believes the presence of tens of thousands of Bobotoh could provide extra motivation for Borneo FC players.
"When more spectators attend, big players—those accustomed to performing in major matches—feel much more comfortable. So automatically they tend to perform better," said Lefundes.
Persib Supporters Respected, But Not Feared
Despite the guaranteed heated atmosphere at GBLA, Lefundes still credits Persib supporters. The sold-out match tickets demonstrate Bandung's immense fanaticism.
"At the same time, it's good because it shows Persib supporters want to back their team, want to provide support, but they also know who they'll be facing," he emphasized.
He added that such fanatical support also represents respect for the opponent Persib will face.
"So it's also a form of respect toward the opponent they'll face, and we hope to deliver a good match, quality entertainment," he concluded.
