Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, could not hide his disappointment after his team failed to secure a victory despite Chelsea playing with 10 men since the 38th minute due to Moises Caicedo's red card. The situation that should have been an advantage was not maximized by The Gunners.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea managed to take the lead first through Trevoh Chalobah's header in the 48th minute. Arsenal only equalized in the 59th minute through Mikel Merino's goal from Bukayo Saka's precise cross. The 1-1 score lasted until the final whistle.

Statistically, Arsenal dominated possession and had strong momentum after Caicedo's red card. However, their attacking flow didn't truly threaten Chelsea's goal.

Arteta didn't conceal his disappointment. He described the match as an intensely aggressive duel with minimal gameplay flow, numerous fouls, multiple cards, and difficulty controlling the tempo.

“I think we should have won today,” said Arteta.

He also highlighted how his team received four additional yellow cards despite having a numerical advantage.

He added that this week had been physically draining for the squad. Arsenal had just endured a heated derby against Tottenham Hotspur and a tough Champions League clash against Bayern Munich within three days.

According to him, the absence of key players like Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Leo Trossard affected the team's dynamics in this London derby.

This result didn't just cost Arsenal two points, but also momentum. Facing an opponent with only 10 players, The Gunners actually had all the ingredients for victory. Yet this failure to capitalize becomes crucial reflection material for Arteta.

In terms of gameplay, Arsenal appeared insufficiently clinical. Several chances they created led nowhere. This shows domination means little without sharp end-product execution.

Tactically, Arsenal must improve their ability to control matches when having numerical superiority: managing tempo, reducing unnecessary fouls, and maximizing an attacking line that should be more aggressive.
