Cristiano Ronaldo isn't just shining on the green field, but also increasingly excelling on Saudi Arabia's tourism stage. Since officially becoming the country's tourism ambassador, the Portuguese superstar appears busier than ever promoting Saudi Arabia's charm worldwide.
In the latest tourism campaign titled "Unreal Calendar," Ronaldo leads the promotion of a series of international events taking place year-round in the Kingdom.
As reported from Cairo, Sunday, September 28, 2025, the short promotional video highlights major events spanning sports, fashion, film, and culture held across three key cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Ula.

This campaign coincides with Saudi Arabia's major preparations to host the FIFA World Cup 2034, AFC Asian Cup 2027, and 2029 Asian Winter Games.
Interestingly, in the video, Ronaldo appears not as a player but as a spectator enjoying various events.
He also shares his perspective as an athlete accustomed to facing pressure and competition.
"Every sports match is full of pressure and challenges, but it all pays off when victory comes," stated Ronaldo.
"Initially I came for football, but it turns out there's so much more."
Ronaldo's presence in this campaign is clearly not without reason. His global name serves as a magnet to attract international tourists to Saudi Arabia.
Since premiering three weeks ago on Visit Saudi's YouTube channel, the video has been flooded with likes and positive comments.
Beyond sporting events, the "Unreal" calendar also features regular events like Formula 1, LIV Golf, and the Esports World Cup.
All are packaged into attractive tourism bundles curated for global travelers.
Since joining Al-Nassr club in 2022, Ronaldo has indeed grown closer to Saudi Arabia's image as a global sports and entertainment hub.
The government continues leveraging his appeal to support the desert nation's promotional campaigns.
This move aligns with Vision 2030, the Kingdom's grand strategy to diversify its economy beyond oil.
The Saudi government has even prepared USD 800 billion in tourism investments, targeting an industry value of USD 22.4 billion by 2030.
With Ronaldo as the new promotional face, Saudi tourism is no longer merely a "desert dream" — but is becoming a truly unreal global destination.
