The football world was stunned when Arne Slot's family home in Formby was targeted by a group of masked individuals in the early hours of Monday, November 24, 2025, less than a day after Liverpool were humiliated 0-3 by Nottingham Forest.
Neighbors reported shouts of "You're not wanted here!" echoing through the elite residential area before red paint was thrown at the doors, windows, and garage. On the driveway, large graffiti reading "LEAVE LIVERPOOL NOW" was clearly visible.
Merseyside Police stated the incident is classified as aggravated burglary and criminal damage, with four perpetrators still at large. Slot's wife, Mirella, and their three children were inside during the attack and have now been secured at a secret location with armed protection.

Slot Collapses, Public Pressure Exceeds All Limits
The 46-year-old Slot was not home during the attack. Hours earlier, he had been rushed to Aintree University Hospital after collapsing in the dressing room following the match. Club doctors described his condition as "extremely dangerous," with blood pressure soaring to 210/130 and cardiac arrhythmia triggered by a combination of poor result stress and increasingly brutal online attacks.
During a tense meeting with senior players after the defeat, Slot was heard saying, "I can't breathe," before losing consciousness. Liverpool's medical staff fear the risk of permanent heart damage if the pressure and threats continue.
Internal club sources even conveyed off-record concerns about Slot's state.
"He's not sleeping, not eating, this pressure is literally killing him."
Liverpool React Strongly, Premier League Intervenes
Liverpool FC condemned the incident as a "cowardly and disgusting act." The PFA and Premier League immediately launched a joint investigation into the rise of supporter extremism.
The club postponed all media activities and canceled open training sessions. The next morning at Melwood, players arrived with black armbands, refusing to speak to the media. Virgil van Dijk simply held back a reporter's microphone and shook his head slowly, showing the gravity of the situation facing the club.
Amid heightened police patrols and support from across the football world, one bitter reality now haunts Anfield: the spirit of fanaticism that has long been Liverpool's identity has this time crossed a line that should never have been crossed.
Arne Slot came to build the foundations of a new era.
Right now, he's fighting just to survive amidst a storm he never imagined.
