Train Ticket Discounts Ahead of Nataru Holidays, More Affordable Chance to Explore the Archipelago

Amidst the vibrant preparations for the Christmas and New Year holidays, railway lines once again become the lifeline connecting cities across Indonesia. Ahead of the massive year-end tourist flow, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area 1 Jakarta brings fresh air to travelers with fare discounts of up to 30% for train customers. 

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, explained this discount is designed to help people enjoy travel without heavy cost burdens. This fare reduction serves as KAI's stimulus to make travel more accessible at affordable prices, whether for homecoming, vacations, or other activities. 

"We invite customers to immediately utilize this program while discount quotas remain available," he stated in an official release on Friday, November 21, 2025.

During this season when many begin planning holidays, the program opens opportunities to enjoy long-distance travel using KAJJ and Local Trains from the Jakarta Daop 1 area. 

The discount applies to commercial economy class, the perennial favorite choice for domestic tourists, backpackers, and families wanting to celebrate year-end at colorful destinations. 

With ticket purchases from November 21, 2025 to January 10, 2026, travelers can select departure schedules between December 22, 2025 and January 10, 2026 through all official KAI channels.

Ixfan emphasized the importance of early travel planning. He urged customers to book tickets promptly to secure the best fares while ensuring seat availability during peak Christmas and New Year periods.
