Rizky Ridho's long-range strike captured global attention. The Persija Jakarta defender officially entered the FIFA Puskas Award 2025 nomination list after his midfield screamer against Arema FC was selected as one of the year's best goals. FIFA announced this on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the early hours of WIB.

That magical moment occurred during the 2024/2025 Indonesian Liga 1 match on March 9, 2025. Ridho spotted Arema FC goalkeeper Lucas Frigeri positioned far off his line and unleashed a perfect 50-meter looping strike that crashed into the net. The goal went viral instantly, even before being crowned Liga 1's 2024/2025 Best Goal.

Ridho's Puskas Award nomination places him alongside European superstars. FIFA confirmed two global icons – Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) and Declan Rice (Arsenal) – also made the candidate list.

Beyond the men's category, FIFA revealed 11 nominees for the Marta Award 2025 honoring women's football's best goal. Both awards will be decided through a voting system open until December 3, 2025, midnight local time.

Winners will be announced during the awards gala early next year. As in previous editions, the decision combines fan votes (50%) and FIFA Legends panel votes (50%).

Fans can vote at FIFA.com after registration, selecting three favorite goals with points allocated: five for first choice, three for second, and one for third.

This system creates an opportunity for Indonesian supporters to propel Ridho toward historic achievement.

The Puskas nominations followed FIFA's reveal of candidates for other prestigious individual awards: Men's and Women's Best Player, Best Coach, and Best Goalkeeper.

With Ridho now on the global radar, Indonesian football's chance to make FIFA history widens. All eyes focus on public support and how international fans judge his breathtaking long-range wonder-strike.
