United States have secured their place in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32. Playing in front of their home supporters at Lumen Field, Seattle on Friday local time, the hosts defeated Australia 2-0 to confirm their knockout stage qualification.

This victory reinforces United States status as one of the strongest sides in Group D. With the additional 3 points, they now hold 6 points from 2 matches and sit comfortably at the top of the provisional Standings.
