Indonesian Women's Doubles pair Ganda Putri Indonesia, Janice Tjen / Aldila Sutjiadi, have opened their campaign at the Nottingham Open 2026 with a victory. Competing at this WTA 250 grass court tournament in Nottingham, England, the duo successfully secured their ticket to the Quarter Finals.
Seeded third for the tournament, Janice/Aldila defeated the United States-Czech Republic pairing of Ann Li and Tereza Valentova with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-4. This victory provides crucial momentum for the Indonesian representatives, who are working to rediscover their peak competitive form.

In the opening set, the opposing pair recorded three aces and landed 79.3% of their first serves. However, Janice/Aldila operated with greater efficiency, winning 89.5% of all points played on their own first serves.

Another tight battle unfolded in the second set. Both sides traded points evenly until the score reached 2-2, before Janice/Aldila capitalised on two double faults from their opponents to take control of the match.
Superior serving quality once again proved the deciding factor. Janice/Aldila won 83.3% of points on their first serves, while also displaying much stronger ball return quality compared to the opposing pair.
This consistent performance ultimately carried them to a 6-4, 6-4 victory, confirming their place in the Nottingham Open 2026 quarter finals.
Janice/Aldila will next face Czech duo Miriam Kolodziejova/Jesika Maleckova in the Quarter Final round. Kolodziejova/Maleckova advanced after beating Japanese pairing Miyu Kato/Makoto Ninomiya 6-3, 6-0.
