The Cipayung national training center has lost more athletes. Four national badminton players officially ended their tenure at the Indonesian Badminton Association's (PBSI) national training center to pursue careers as professional players. They are Yeremia Rambitan, Rinov Rivaldy, Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, and Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
This decision was announced directly by the PBSI Central Board, signaling a major shift in the development pattern for Indonesian athletes.
"We respect and understand the decision of Yere, Rinov, Pitha, and Lisa to end their time together at the National Training Center," said PP PBSI Head of Achievement Development Eng Hian in Jakarta on Saturday.

These four athletes are not the first to take the professional path. Previously, Jonatan Christie and Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi also chose the same route.
This indicates a new trend, with more top athletes seeking independence, managing their careers and tournament schedules without full commitment to the national training center.
Key Roles in Two Crucial Disciplines
Yeremia Rambitan is a mainstay in men's doubles. Meanwhile, Rinov, Pitha, and Lisa Ayu are pillars in mixed doubles.
They are not just squad fillers. These players have often been relied upon by Indonesia in international tournaments, even at elite levels like the BWF World Tour.
"While being part of the PBSI National Training Center, these four athletes have contributed to the achievements of Indonesian badminton," he said.
The PBSI believes the experience gained at the training center will be valuable preparation for their professional careers.
Professional, But Still Competing for Red and White
Although no longer under the national training center, PBSI has not closed the door. Commitment to continued cooperation was directly affirmed.
"Moving forward, we will work together to bring honor to the Indonesian nation on the international stage," said Eng Hian.
The PBSI also hopes they maintain professionalism and achieve success in upcoming tournaments.(Antara)
