Cristiano Ronaldo had to postpone his ambition to lift a trophy with Al Nassr after his team drew 1-1 against Al Hilal in week 33 of the Saudi Pro League at King Saud University Stadium, Riyadh, early Wednesday morning WIB.
Al Nassr entered the match aiming for a win to secure this season's league title. However, late-game drama canceled the imminent celebration.
The match started with high intensity from the first minute. Second-placed Al Hilal threatened through Karim Benzema's third-minute flick, but Goalkeeper Bento saved the attempt.

After surviving early pressure, Al Nassr took control. Ronaldo became the focal point of attacks alongside João Félix, Sadio Mané, and Kingsley Coman.
The home crowd's awaited goal arrived in the 37th minute. Mohamed Simakan capitalized on a scramble in Al Hilal's penalty box to put Al Nassr ahead 1-0.
The lead intensified the match. Al Hilal increased aggression seeking an equalizer, while Al Nassr pursued counter-attacks to extend their advantage.
Al Hilal's equalizer came after Ronaldo was substituted in the 82nd minute.
Tensions peaked during Injury time before the leveling goal. Al Hilal players reacted angrily as Al Nassr officials and substitutes entered the ball-contestation area, resulting in a red card for one Al Nassr staff member.
Disaster struck Al Nassr in the eighth minute of injury time. Previously solid goalkeeper Bento failed to anticipate an Al Hilal throw-in. Amid chaos involving Inigo Martinez, the ball deflected into his own net, making it 1-1.
This dramatic goal shattered Al Nassr's hopes of securing the title immediately. With one point added, Al Nassr now has 83 points, leading Al Hilal by five points.
The title race continues. Al Hilal still has two matches remaining and could overtake Al Nassr, who have only one fixture left this season.
