The Indonesian National Team squad is scheduled to gather after Eid al-Fitr celebrations to prepare for the FIFA Series 2026. PSSI made this decision so Muslim players can celebrate Eid with their families before joining national team duties.

Member of the PSSI Executive Committee, Arya Sinulingga, confirmed the squad's assembly timing aligns with the holiday.

"Definitely after Eid," stated Arya during the launch of Indonesia's new national team jersey with Kelme at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.

The FIFA Series 2026 tournament will be held in Jakarta with Indonesia as host.

Matches will occur at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, where Garuda is slated to face the Saint Kitts & Nevis National Team on March 27.

Indonesia will then play a second match against either the Bulgaria or Solomon Islands National Team on March 30.

For the tournament, coach John Herdman has named 41 players in a provisional squad.

This includes 24 players from the BRI Super League and 17 overseas-based players.

PSSI has arranged special travel plans for Europe-based players, including defender Jay Idzes

This anticipates potential flight disruptions due to escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

According to Arya, the federation has prepared safer alternative routes to ensure players arrive in Indonesia on schedule.

"Flights can transit via Singapore. That's feasible since Singapore is closest. Other routes like Japan are too distant, and Middle Eastern routes are problematic now," Arya explained.

With post-Eid training schedules and travel arrangements in place, PSSI hopes all players can join without issues and maximize preparations for the FIFA Series 2026 at SUGBK before home supporters.
